hopesichord: woollymammoth: poehler-bear: #his face in this episode was horrible #excuse me as i stan for a second #ben wyatt’s ENTIRE LIFE since age 18 has been about proving to people that he is a responsible person so that he can run for office again and not be laughed at #but he still can’t give an interview #he still can’t talk about ice town#and he still carries the guilt of his two months as mayor every day #and then there is this woman #this woman who thinks of government in a way entirely unlike the way anyone else thinks of government #this force-of-nature of a woman #i think there must be something very powerful about being a man as frightened and tired as ben wyatt and then standing next to leslie knope and having a secret handshake#like maybe all the years of work and trying could be worth something #because leslie knope does that to people she reorients their worldviews #and so what breaks my ENTIRE SOUL about this scene is that leslie makes ben a better person and for twenty minutes he thinks she doesn’t care about him at all #but when she apologizes the next day for a conversation she probably barely remembers he asks her what she’s apologizing for #and this scene is too much for me it really is i have so much i could talk about but i stan them both so much and they’re so otp it’s gross #i hate your face it has ruined my entire life #send help These tags have been written by some omniscient being because they are so spot on.
